INBERSO results from the need to optimize information on the financing market for high-tech companies so as to promote the transfer of knowledge and generate value for society, based on the experience gained from the knowledge- transfer offices in the Iberoamerican space of Higher Education and investors specialized in the early stages of technology spin-offs.

INBERSO, the PRIVATE FUNDING OF INNOVATION, distinguishes between two types of users: those providing investment opportunities and those demanding them.

Spin-Offs
INBERSO counts on the best technological companies and Iberoamerican spin-offs emerged in universities, technological centres and technological parks. These companies are characterized by their high growth potential and their need for external funding in order to develop and enlarge their project.

Research lines
In Universities and Technological centres, there are extremely valuable research groups generating new knowledge or technologies with enormous value given their potential to be marketed shortly. Unfortunately, quite often, in spite of their high potential, excellent research lines come to a halt before being validated or marketed (through their own spin-off or through the sale of a license) because of lack of financing in the last stages of development of the project. In INBERSO we aim at closing that gap by encouraging private investors to invest in those lines in exchange of rights over future results.

Patents
Iberoamerican technological centres and universities have numerous new developments and knowledge protected under intellectual property law. INBERSO acts as an intermediary displaying protected developments that are highly innovative and developments discovered by research centres. Such developments, which are often undervalued, might be a response to a company’s needs.
Technological demand
Investors
Investors, namely VCs & Business Angles specialized in allocating their resources to these risky projects, normally invest their capital, skills and managerial expertise and provide contacts which have proven to be extremely useful in theses initiatives.
Once authorized and registered within INBERSO, investors will have full access to all the above-mentioned investment opportunities, gaining in-depth access to all the projects in order to be ultimately evaluated.
